An autumn stroll in the countryside

Collaborative Wren, but bad photo (by DomenS)

This morning I went for a short walk on the Karst near Mavhinje/Malchina (TS). There wasn't a big bird movement (the wind was too strong maybe), but I've seen some Linnets, 5 Woodlarks, 2 Sparrowhawks and 1 Water Pipit flew over calling. Also Buzzard, Raven, some flocks of Starlings and a Wren showing very well. Nice to see the landscape turning red, yellow and orange.

Today I was in Venice on a short trip. On the main square some nervously flying Pigeons attracted my attention, so I looked up in the sky. A Peregrine Falcon was looking for a meal right in the city centre. It represented the highlight of the urban birding day.
