First springtime flowers on the Karst
A few spring shots from this afternoon on the Karst. Flowering plants included lots of snowdrops, primroses, Helleborus sp and the other small bluish flowers I don't remember the name. Also a Black Woodpecker heard, several Green and Great Spotted Woods, Hawfinches, 1 female Sparrowhawk (ambushing a Blackbird), 3-4 Song Thrushes, Marsh Tits ect.
Local patch: today of interest were 4 RAVENS that flew low over the house in the morning (calling loudly of course) and 3 Mute Swans on the sea at dusk (very close to the shore).
Yesterday a Large Tortoiseshell was basking under the warm spring sunshine.
