COMMON DOLPHIN from the house

Local patch: in the previous posts I forgot to mention that I had a COMMON DOLPHIN (Delphinus delphis) a few days ago. That was exactly on Thursday afternoon/dusk when I spotted it from my bedroom's window. It was leaping on the sea, just in front of the patch, actually not too far from the shore.
The local marine center of Miramare confirmed that an individual was seen in these last few days around our coasts. This is probably the same as the one in summer 2011 (pic above). A welcome return then!
Bird-wise the flocks of ducks are regularly seen on the sea; the other day another two Mute Swans flew past. Plenty of Great Crested Grebes as well. In the garden there's one Blackcap (calling) and a Green Woodpecker regularly yaffling. Plus all the commoner stuff.
