First BAR-TAILED GODWIT for the reserve & BLUETHROATS still around today

Škocjanski zatok NR: the morning started well today, with a first record for the reserve - a juvenile BAR-TAILED GODWIT. I found the bird at the far south-eastern side of the reserve, feeding in the brackish lagoon (see pics above).
Amazingly some BLUETHROATS were still around as I saw 3 different birds. The first was hopping on the recently mown grassland by the reedbed. Two others were chasing each other over the reedbed from the second screening. I then watched a handsome bird sitting on the top of a bush for few minutes (probably one of the two birds seen before) - see photos below.
Other birds of interest today included: 1 juv Spoonbill, 4 Wigeons, 1 Gadwall, 19 Shoveler, 91 Teals, 2 female Garganey, 1 Buzzard, 1 Water Rail crossing the path (and singing too), 3 Curlews, 14 Common Sandpipers, 2 Wood Sandpipers, 14 Greenshanks, 3 Green Sandpipers, 1 Turtle Dove mixed in a flock of +30 Collareds, 1 Kingfisher, 2 Wrynecks singing to each other (!), 2 Swallows, 2 Yellow Wagtails, 1 male GREY WAGTAIL in flight, +4 Tree Pipits on migration, 1 Robin (calling), 2 Nightingales, 10 Whinchats, 4 Fan-tailed Warblers, 5 Cetti's, 1 Great Reed Warbler, 6 Reed Warblers, 3 Sedge Warblers (all seen), 1 female/imm Common Whitethroat, 9 Blackcaps, 5 imm Willow Warblers and 1 juv Red-backed Shrike.
