Icterine Warbler - on the move
This morning I had a lovely surprise: in the area of Monte Grisa - Kontovel (TS) an ICTERINE WARBLER was present in the bushes. Giving some nice views it then disappeared in the thick foliage (see first pic above).
In the area also: Blue Rock Thrush (a nice family: 1-2 ad.+ at least 2 juvs. perching on the rocks - 2nd and 3rd pics above), Rock Bunting (heard), Alpine Swift (only one!), Honey Buzzard (1 flying low above Barcola-Cedas than heading to the wood below Kontovel), Kestrel (3 juvs/female soaring together above Barcola and Kontovel). Butterflies included: Dryad, Woodland Grayling, Wall Brown and Scarce Swallowtail.
