Local patch: What a surprise today in the local patch! A Red Admiral was flying around flowers in the garden... quite unexpected sighting at this time of year. However the last few days were quite sunny and windless.
By the way, I'm seeing a Wren every day, roving around the garden shed; probably in search of food or shelter. I wonder if that tiny bird is roosting somewhere inside that shed or in some holes nearby. I'll try to discover...
It doesn't seems, but spring is quite close to us... Blackbirds are singing with Great Tits, the Green Woodpeckers are becoming territorial and Nuthatches are heard almost every day from my patch.
