Back to The Buzzard

Today with some friends I headed back to the ROUGH-LEGGED BUZZARD place. The bird (see pics above) was always there on the same fields between Marano and Muzzana (UD). This time it was quite diffident and not very approachable. On the same cultivated fields also two winter plumaged Golden Plovers (pic below), two Hen Harriers, some Skylarks, one Great Grey Shrike and a Linnet. In the nearby Villanova a flock of about 50 Rooks was feeding on a small field.

At the Aussa-Corno (UD) estuary at least 100-120 Greater Scaups were swimming in the small basin, along with some Tufted Ducks, plus a few Med Gulls.
Instead in the fields of Torviscosa (UD) only a Green Sandpiper, about 20 European Hares (pics below) and 150 Roe Deers.

Before returning home, a stop at Miramare produced ten Common Gulls and the usual female Grey Wagtail.
